I'm the New York entertainment writer for the Los Angeles Times. Before joining the paper full-time, I was regular contributor to the  The A.V. Club, The Daily, and The New Yorker's Book Bench. My work has been published in Town & Country, InStyle, The Paris Review, the Financial Times, New York Magazine, Rolling Stone, Salon and The Atlantic.

I'm a graduate of Georgetown University and have a master's degree in Cultural Reporting and Criticism from NYU. Before switching to journalism, I worked for a few years in the film industry. You can see some of my credits on IMDB.
